John McNair – Broker & Partner

John McNair is a licensed Texas real estate broker and seasoned renewable energy developer with over 18 years of experience in utility-scale projects and data centers. Since 2008, he has managed the lease-up of more than 250,000 acres across ERCOT, supporting the development of 1.2 GW of wind, 1.6 GW of solar, 1.8 GW of energy storage, and 700 MW of data center projects.

As a project originator and strategist, John has taken greenfield developments from site control through COD. His expertise spans land acquisition, project siting, interconnection, transmission, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and M&A due diligence. He has a track record of resolving critical land issues — from lease amendments and estoppels to access easements and landowner negotiations — to keep major projects on track.

In addition to his brokerage and development work, John is a licensed property tax consultant in Texas and advises on Chapter 312 tax abatements for renewable projects. He is also a sixth-generation Texas ranch owner and recipient of the Family Land Heritage Award from the Texas Department of Agriculture. John earned a BBA from the University of North Texas and is based in San Antonio, Texas.
